Babies Grow on You

Our littlest one has now got to that stage where he is constantly moving, pulling, grabbing and reaching.

My Little Piccolo {Stage 1}

I think when you have your first child you are so keen as a parent you tend to rush through the different stages (well, I did anyway!).I suppose it's natural to urge on walking, talking, eating, growing... Maybe it makes you feel like you've really got this parenting thing right?!

The Siblings Project {January}

Ever since we had our first little guy I have thought about how he would cope with a sibling.
I think even if you only plan on having one child, you imagine these sorts of things when you have children.
We both come from big families so we always knew we would want our little one to have a brother or sister if we were Blessed enough to be able to.
It can be bittersweet going from one to two as although it's a joy for your family to be growing your ability to focus all of your attention on one child has to come to an end; from the moment you see that little pink line you have another love in your life, just as big and all consuming.
It's a strange feeling to suddenly be sharing a unique kind of love;
 that changes and is still the same!
I won't ramble on two much about my experience of becoming a mum again this year, but I will say these two make my heart feel fuller than I thought possible.
Even though they were both grown in the same place they are both so different;
blonde and brown,
blue eyed and dark.
The little guy is, and always has been, energetic, jumpy, a complete chatterbox, independent, desperate to run, hates socks or being wrapped up, loves his Daddy and is rarely shy.
Little E is like a baby bear, he loves cuddles, big blankets, bath time(and water in general), hates loud noises and being left alone at all. He is such a mama's boy already and will sit very contentedly just people watching.
Despite the occasional bout of jealousy the little guy loves his baby brother;
He has taken the whole transition in his stride.
I love watching them together and how intently little E observes everything he does, making cheeky grins as though he finds him secretly hilarious.
It's certainly not easy being a Mama to two boys but I wouldn't change it for the world.
