Stopping To Smell the Flowers {Harrogate Flower Show}

Spring has been well and truly in the air this side of Yorkshire over the past few weeks and dare I say it, a little bit of summer..!
 Everything feels so much brighter now the longer days are here and  this always gets me wanting to get out into the garden and enjoy outdoor living.
Joe and I were invited to the Harrogate Flower Show at the end of April, something we've never been to, so I was really looking forward to getting some garden inspiration and seeing some beautiful blooms!
We visited on the Friday and although the sun was out it was pretty windy and rainy; luckily we could pop in and out of the various tents and halls between showers!

We had a lovely time wandering around the stunning displays and seeing some truly spectacular floral creations; The show is set in such a beautiful setting overlooking the fields and viaduct.
We took little E with us who enjoyed seeing all the big displays and testing out the sweet stalls until he decided to have a little snooze.
If you're an avid fan of gardening and growing then this is the perfect place to be. There is so much to see and do from seed and plant stalls, to garden tools to expert talks on all things growing. The food hall had some great Yorkshire produce, as well as from further afield and there was a food theatre where you could watch some great seasonal dishes being created.
There was plenty of places to stop for tea and cake, with cafe areas inside and food and drink vans outside, although it was very busy and we struggled to find a spot to sit in. Everyone was trying to sit inside as it was just so cold!
There were some gorgeous craft and gift stalls and I was also  able to meet up with the lovely Rosie and Tina who I first met at the Country Living Fair in December. They have been running their online home and gift store, Rosie Phillips Textiles, for over eight years and sell some gorgeous things.(I'll be sharing more about their fabulous range soon)
I could go on about our day but I think I'll just leave you with some photo's! The next flower show is in the Autumn; if you want to see the best in garden and growing then I'd really recommend a visit.

( Lovely friends Rosie and Tina!)

 NB We were kindly invited to attend the Harrogate Flower Show however all opinions are entirely our own
