StrEat Festival Fun {Harrogate}

  It's taken me too long to share our trip to this years StEat Food Festival at the Yorkshire Showground...
The weekend of the fest, the may bank holiday, the weather took a great turn and it was just the right temperature to enjoy some gorgeous food in the sun. We headed up on the Saturday and by the time we got there there was a long queue waiting to get in; it took us a little while but eventually we made it into the festival!
The layout looked great and there was plenty of choice of things to eat and drink. We loved the traditional style fair rides which looked awesome; I haven't seen an old style Helter Skelter for years! The kids obviously had to hook a duck and seeing as it was a day out we went and had dessert first over at the Chimney Chicks van. They were definitely on the pricier side of all the ice-creams I've bought but we had to go all in and try the uni-cone AND the Nutella cone. They were really yummy but even TJ's sweet tooth was defeated half way through; Luckily for him I took over...!
There was plenty of entertainment, with musicians and performers over the three days. Everyone was just relaxing in deckchairs or sat in the centre on the grass enjoying the sun and great food so it was a really chilled out vibe.
There were amazing sweets on offer from Little Breads - Their "Scotch Creme eggs" were pretty good as were their gorgeous brownies. Down on the bottom of the field was a candy floss stand making amazing giant coloured candy floss and rainbow snow cones which we had to try as well. I think we may have tipped the sugar scales that day!
TJ had his first go on the giant bungee and loved every second of it then we headed down to the beautiful old carousel. It was great to see a really good distribution of things for adults and kids to enjoy so it was a real family event.
All in all, a brilliant Harrogate event for everyone to enjoy; I'm so glad we got to experience StEat Fest at its new venue.
We can't wait for the next one!

NB StEat Festival kindly invited our family to this event however all opinions are entirely our own.
